Huatulco is a coastal paradise with beautiful beaches and natural setting. It is located 277 km ( 171 mi ) from Oaxaca City and 50 minutes, by plane, from Mexico City . It is located on the Pacific coast and the vegetation is classified as deciduous tropical forest. The climate is hot and semi-humid, with an average temperature of 28º C (82º F) and sunny days throughout most of the year. There are nine bays with numerous beaches.  Many of the beaches are  part of the Bahias de Huatulco National Park. Most of the coastal area is an ecological reserve due to coral reefs, turtle breeding, whale migration etc. Thanks to its abundant marine life, it is an excellent spot for scuba diving and snorkeling.  The vast natural beauty, the diverse landscapes and the many recreational activities will leave you fascinated.  Huatulco offers excellent tourist services making it possible for you to discover this destination’s great culture, art, cuisine and natural wonders.

The house is located in a residential area several blocks from the main plaza of La Crucecita.  Shops, market, church and restaurants are all located around the plaza.  The closest beach  is a 30 minute walk or a 5 minute taxi ride from the house.  Taxis to the various beaches range in price from 25 pesos to 50 pesos ( 2 to 6 US dollars).   The house is surrounded by a green belt and is one of the last house on the town limit.

There are two bedrooms both with queen sized beds and private bathrooms.  The kitchen is fully equiped.  There is a TV with cable connection as well as an audio system for ipod type players.  There are a number of books including travel guides for Oaxaca, English Spanish course books and several nature guides for the area.
